Before long however, the clinic began attracting world-class athletes seeking treatment. In 1997, Dr. Ayres purchased a facility in North Raleigh twice the size of the original office and opened Ayres Chiropractic & Sports Injury Center. Today we count as our patients: Olympians from all corners of the World Multiple World Record Holders Dozens Gold Medallists and World Champions Countless other Professional, College and High School AthletesOriginally from Seaside Park, New Jersey, Dr. Ayres received his pre-chiropractic studies at the University of Delaware and his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life College in Marietta, Georgia. He moved to North Raleigh in 1986 and opened Ayres Chiropractic & Sports Injury Center the following year. Dr. Ayres served as President of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association from 2013-2015. He was North Carolina’s representative to the International Chiropractic Association, served as North Carolina Liason to Life University as well as served as President of the Wake County Chiropractic Society. Dr. Ayres served as Chairman of the North Carolina Chiropractic Associations Worker’s Compensation Committee for 8 years and as such acted as liaison between providers the insurance industry. Dr. Ayres’ affiliation with professional athletes has lead to his appointment to the medical staff of the United States Track and Field Association multiple times.
