The Moving Mantra Yoga Studio seeks to create a loving, nurturing and safe environment to support inward journeys. As teachers, we hope to facilitate the exploration of the body, mind and spirit from a place of loving self acceptance and non judgment. Moving Mantra Yoga teaches from the traditional eight limbed system which integrates positive attitudes towards the self and others, the physical practice including asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), understanding and controlling the chatter of the mind, developing concentration, cultivating relaxation and learning simple meditation techniques. We adopt a loving, authentic approach to the practice by honoring each student’s individual needs, limitations, curiosities and strengths. In the true spirit of Yoga, we hope to foster a sense of community amongst students, teachers, and our community.Established in 1999.Moving Mantra was founded 13 years ago by owner Cyndi Bulka ERYT-500. It is the top rated yoga studio in north Raleigh and has won numerous awards, including the Metro Magazine Bravo Award for Best Yoga Studio 2006-2012.Cyndi is the owner and director of the Moving Mantra Yoga Studio. She has been practicing Yoga and meditation for more than 20 years, teaching as a profession for nearly 17, and has entertained a curiosity for contemplative practices her entire life. Her teaching reflects a combination of years of study and practice which culminate in an eclectic and individualized approach, focusing on organic movement and gentle unfolding from the ‘inside-out’. She studied under Esther Meyers in the Scaravelli tradition for many years and earned her advanced teaching certificate with Esther. She also holds a certificate in AcuYoga with Michael Reed Gach. Over the years she has studied extensively with several other senior teachers, which has helped her integrate her experiences and knowledge into a loving, intelligent, relational approach to teaching. She is particularly inspired by Judith Lasater and completed Judith’s Relax and Renew restorative Yoga teacher training course.
