"A house of the future - and a self-confident project without reference to the past"
The project was realized after an architectural competition in cooperation with EnergieAG Upper Austria and the Art University Linz and completed in April 2004.
A house in the shape of a habitable divot, that is the idea behind this building, says DI Max Nirnberger, a member of the X architects. A design without a beginning or an end - open on all sides. A building made of concrete, wood and glass where a perspective is required. Due to its elaborate architecture, it is unique in the golf scene.
Our clubhouse at the Mühlviertel-St. Oswald-Freistadt is designed as a passive house. The energy comes from the sun and the kitchen. The waste heat heats the building using a complicated ventilation system with heat exchangers based on the pre-Christian-Roman hypocaust principle.
