Chapples is an 18-hole, 6207 yards, Par 71 course located in the Chapples Park. It is suitable for all ages and skill levels and also offers a practice range. In the spring of 2019, we offer a “Play it Forward” set of tee’s on the front nine with a total yardage of 1300 yards. Members both young and old might challenge their skills from this distance. Par and Birdies tend to bring you back to golf. Historical archives were uncovered in the winter of 2019, including documentation of City Council meetings as well as an original 1947 18 hole golf architectural drawing submitted by famous architect Stanley Thompson. Original 9 hole routing was approved in 1947 and construction began that summer. In 2019 on our 70th anniversary, a historical wall display was erected in the pro shop depicting the early years of our founder Mr. Clement E. Chapple and his relationship with Mr. Stanley Thompson. Today you can still walk the same holes that were originally enjoyed by golfers in those early years.
