The Freeport Club enjoys a reputation of being one of the finest golf courses in Northern Illinois. The challenging design of our well-manicured course winds through a park-like setting of rolling fairways lined with mature trees. The natural rolling terrain, elevation changes, and small-fast greens create a unique playing experience that will test golfers of all skill levels.
Condition and playability is the top priority of our Course Superintendent. In addition to maintaining the beauty of the course, the staff works to create some of the best putting surfaces in the Northern Illinois area. The combination of subtle undulation and tilt, with typical green speeds ranging from 10.0 to 12.0 stimps, gives a whole new meaning to “the short game”. The Freeport Club’s double tiered practice range is great for warming up prior to your round!
A fully equipped “Golf Shop” is available to meet your equipment, clothing and instructional needs. The Freeport Clubs Professional plans and coordinates a full-season of men’s, ladies, singles, couples, social golf and competitive tournaments, plus a junior golf program that targets youths up to 16yrs of age.
