One of the best kept secrets in the Sandhills!  Just 20 minutes south of Pinehurst, this challenging course once hosted the PGA Tour Qualifier and is sure to test any game.  The layout is full of elevations changes, beautiful fairways lined by the tall pines of the sandhills.  You won’t find another course in the Sandhills that can beat the quality of play for the price!  Venture out and come see us, you won’t be disappointed.

In recent months, Deercroft, has retained Kyle Franz as consulting architect to create a long term masterplan to renovate the course.  Kyle comes highly recommended as a veteran of the design and construction team of world top 20 ranked Pacific Dunes designed by Tom Doaks, as well as Coore and Crenshaw’s recent restoration of Pinehurst #2.  In addition, he will be working for Hanse Golf Design next year on The Olympics Course for the 2016 Olympic Games.

 Course overall is rough around the edges (cart path and edges off the fairways) but fairways/greens are in tip top shape. Don't let the scorecard fool you, the course plays more 7000+yds off the back tees with elevated second shots, into the wind par 4s, and not much role off the tee. This course will test every club in your bag, your ability to shape shots, and require accuracy. One of the few (if only) courses in the area with bent grass greens giving you smooth/true role. Its off the beaten path about 25min (20miles) south of Pinehurst, NC. Don't expect any high dollar fancy amenities, but if your a true golfer looking for a good course for great price, not crowded, and quaintly situated in a golfing/lake community, this is your place.

The course is in great shape! Great environment and layout for ladies golf. My ladies group plays here weekly and we feel that the setup is good for any level golfer, beginner to expert. Each hole is distinctly different and the Deercroft Community is qjuiet, giving you a peaceful round of golf in an oasis of serenity.

 Unbelievable course from tees, fairways and greens. Great layout, very challenging, tight fairways. Ted Robinson and his crew has done an unbelievable job with this course.
