The Apple Valley Golf Course is known for having the best greens in the High Desert. Amenities in the golf course area are available for public use and include an 18-hole golf course and two tennis courts. While the restaurant has a bar and grill open for breakfast Friday – Sunday and lunch seven days a week. For events, there are banquet and meeting rooms perfect for any occasion.
During the time of the Apple Valley Country Club Lloyd Mangrum was the Head Golf Professional for quite some time while living off the 18th tee for 20 years. Mr. Mangrum won 39 times on the PGA tour. He won the 1946 US Open and was part of the famous playoff with Ben Hogan at Merion in 1950. The clubs he used for his win in the L.A. Open in 1949 are on display in the lounge.
