Here’s what it’s like to play on one of the best golf courses in The Villages area…
Smooth greens because when you’re putting, you don’t want to be bothered by extraneous stuff that can ruin your putt. Things like bumps, gravel, bare patches…
Greens and fairways that are rolling… but not bumpy. Bumps, gravel, and holes are not part of the game by design!
Fairways without bare patches. Natural features that challenge your game but which don’t get in the way of a good game. Opportunities to use your hook when it’s called for but plenty of action where a straight drive is all you need.
A fairway that rolls true. A course that minimizes bad luck, allowing for a true game of skill — something that’s increasingly difficult to come across these days.
As for conveniences, it’s still all about you, the end user. There’s a liberal placement of ball washers (because it’s hard to find a dirty golf ball!).
And in the hot Florida sun, we keep you hydrated and healthy with plenty of drinking water stations on the course. Should you require a rest stop during play, the course is properly outfitted with convenient restroom facilities throughout.
The roughs are rough to play but never rough to look at. Between the expertise of our course architect and the careful attention of our groundskeeping crew, the roughs are as pleasing to the eye as our greens and fairways. By incorporating natural Florida habitat species of plants into the overall landscaping of the course, your game of golf will be as picturesque as a walk in one of the world’s finest parks.
