It is rare these days for a golf course to be located within a large city, accessible in a few minutes from the city’s centre. The “Old Course” so situated, is a short but good par sixty-seven course, beautifully laid out, with rolling fairways all tree-lined, and with a splendid view of Halifax. The “New course”, twenty miles north of Halifax, within 600 acres of wooded, rolling land beside Kinsac Lake, is a full sized par seventy-two, challenging to any low-handicap golfer. The log tree and bunker lined fairways and greens are set in beautiful countryside. It is a championship course and is rated with the best in Canada.
