The original 18 holes, the Lake and Canyon, were built in 1992 and 1993 by Bill Dolgos and Rick Fleming. This course opened in 1994. The additional nine, the Island, opened for play in 2004.
The first professional tournament held at the Pakenham Highlands was on June 5, 2017. Thirty-eight players from the Ottawa area Professional Golfers Association competed. The low score was Graham Gunn with a two-under 70.
Lake Course
Par 36 with three par 3’s, three par 4’s, and three par 5’s. Named for the huge lake between holes 5 and 7. The highest elevation on the property on the 9th tee.
Canyon Course
Par 36 with the first 4 holes of this nine in a canyon. Demanding par 3’s with a great finishing hole back to the clubhouse.
Island Course
The newest of the three nine-hole layouts and the toughest. The signature hole is #6, the island green par 3 playing 175 yards over water from the back tee. A good tee ball is a must to conquer this nine.
