The course designed by C.E. (Robbie) Robinson, opened for play in 1962. Initially it was recognized as a long and wide open course. A tree planting program in the mid-eighties and recent green reconstruction have changed the original character of the course. It certainly ranks now as one of the best courses in the province. For example green improvements to hole # 3 have created a very challenging par 3 hole. Club selection is critical on many holes such as the short par 4 hole #4, a short but sharp dog-leg left. Hole #13 , the signature hole, is named “Waterloo”. Its 138 yards of mostly water, and a favourite spot for a family or two of geese.
