The Oaks Country Club golf course is an 18-hole 6,403-yard, tree-lined tract. Scott Nall, Sr. designed the course. The signature hole is the 140-yard par three 10th hole. The short green is tucked tight behind the rock-lined pond jutting from the left half of the fairway. The number one handicap hole is #7, a 550-yard par 5. It starts with a narrow shoot from the tee box and out-of-bounds on the tree-lined left side of the fairway. Three ponds come into play on five holes, and a creek meanders through half of the course. Cart paths run throughout the entire course. Two large Champion Ultra Dwarf Burmuda putting greens provide ample warm-up areas adjacent to the clubhouse. The Oaks also has a driving range and rental carts available for members and guests. Members can also pay a cart shed rental fee for private cart use and storage on site. This is Oaks Country Club. So it’s no surprise that Oak trees and a variety of other mature trees play key roles defining the layout.
