The Russell Breeden designed, 18 hole course, located on Lady’s Island, S.C. (which is convenient to both Beaufort and Hilton Head Island), was originally opened in 1973, provides a great golfing experience for all levels of play. With water on 12 of its 18 holes, abundant coastal water birds, a few resident gators, huge moss draped live oak trees, and native Palmetto and palm trees; a round of play at TGC is a bone fide return to nature. TGC has been and continues to be the origin of many great golfing memories.
From the spring of 2012 through the spring of 2013, the course at Pleasant Point Plantation was totally redeveloped. Special care was taken to preserve the charm of the course that had created many great golfing memories during the past four decades. The redevelopment included the installation of new Diamond Zoysia greens, all bunkers and sand traps were reconstructed, and the Bermuda fairways were nurtured to a status of being the best in the area. To the delight of many golfers, TGC was reopened to public play during June, 2013.
