From the opening of the front nine in 1991, Hickory Heights has been the golf course for those who want the country club experience at an affordable price. Designed by Michael Hurdzan, Hickory Heights was intended to be 18 beautiful holes of golf on 170 wooded acres with level landing areas, well-manicured fairways and challenging greens.
In January 2009 Sam Depe, III’s, lifelong dream of owning a course became reality. Sam brought more than 30 years of experience as a PGA Golf Professional and more than 28 years’experience as the head pro at South Hills Country Club. Golf has been a major part of the Depe family for three generations. Sam worked along his father Sam Depe, Jr Golf Professional at Hidden Valley Country Club and now he has the opportunity to work alongside his son Sam Depe, IV. “Sometimes it’s challenging, but for the most part, it’s good. It’s really good.”
Because of Sam’s passion and knowledge of golf which is quite evident, Hickory Heights conditions continue to improve.
