Island Psychiatry and Psychotherapy

Island Psychiatry and Psychotherapy is a local Hilton Head business. Jocelyn’s extensive life experience and rare optimism have proven to be paramount.

A native of Boston, Jocelyn is a graduate of Dartmouth College where she earned her degree in theater. After a 10 year career in New York City, Jocelyn returned to Boston to attend Simmons Graduate School of Social Work.
During her studies she was awarded a grant from the American Cancer Society to investigate the impact of diagnosis of cancer on siblings. This began an ongoing interest in working with individuals and families who are dealing with issues surrounding major medical crisis.

During her tenure at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Jocelyn became the Coordinator for the Lung Transplant Program. Additionally, she remained involved with the oncology world, forming the first support group for women with lung cancer.

After relocating to South Carolina, Jocelyn entered private practice as a Psychotherapist. While her primary interest remained with crisis management and grief counseling, she had an opportunity to broaden her experience in all aspects of psychotherapy. This lead to her current practice which includes both adult and child psychotherapy.

Jocelyn is now accepting new clients in the Hilton Head/Bluffton area.
