I recently decided to create my own business. For as long as I can remember I was intrigued by the fashion world, but mostly the models and their editorial looks. I thought, it would be amazing to be a part of that industry. As a little girl, I pretended my dolls were models and gave them makeovers using any items at my disposal, which was primarily crayons, and markers. You can imagine my excitement when my mom started selling Mary Kay. Having access to all those cosmetics intensified my passion for makeup artistry. Although Mary Kay promoted healthy skin, I couldn’t get enough of the lipstick and blushes! Before heading to school, I’d wake up early to try new looks. I received compliments from my girlfriends, who then asked me to do their makeup. When I was done, they couldn’t stop looking in the mirror. I guess doing makeovers to help women rediscover their confidence and forgotten beauty felt right. I couldn’t see myself giving up that level of fulfillment.
