With a team of highly trained and talented professionals with a minimum of 5 years of experience, we're here to craft haircuts for individuals that complement their facial features and unique sense of style. We're also constantly educating ourselves on products and hair trends. Whether clients are looking for a trim or custom hair color (our specialty!), everyone can count on receiving attentive and friendly service from our experienced team. We look forward to working with new and returning clients soon!Established in 2013.Soapbox Salon was started in 2013 by Raleigh-native Carly Loyd. Soapbox's motto is "A hair salon for ladies and gentlemen" and considers themselves a unisex salon. Looking to step outside the mold of "stuffy" or "judgey" hair salons, the idea was that people would feel they were in the right salon for them. Soapbox quickly developed a following of loyal clientele. In 2014, to accommodate its growing salon family of stylists and clients, Soapbox relocated to 1126 N Blount St. and opened its doors in historic Mordecai. Surrounded by homes, Soapbox made it its mission to make guests feel "at home" during their service. With a fully stocked beverage station in the front lobby, guests are invited to help themselves. Waiting areas are set up with comfy vintage couches and throw pillows. Stylists work independently and have a required five-plus years of experience in the industry.Carly is a Raleigh native who has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2004. Working alongside some of the best stylists and owners in the area, Carly was inspired to create Soapbox Salon in 2013. Starting out in a very modest and tiny office space with one other stylist, she dedicated her life to the success of her business and fellow stylists. Within the first year, Soapbox tripled in size and grew to a six-station salon.
