It has changed many hands throughout the years. Sam Combs started in 1936 the records show, and eventually Max Moyer sold it to Dean kolinske and then Dean sold it to Tom Gorman November 1st 2016. Over the years the barbershop has stayed the same. The original barber chairs are still in use and still doing traditional haircuts, flat tops, Fades and Crewcuts, and all other styles.Tom Gorman is the current owner and manager of Dean's Barber Shop in Old Town Fort Collins. Tom worked @ the Aspen barbershop for two years. Then started the Barber Shop of Glenwood Springs in 2011. After 4 yrs of of business there his lease ran out and the property management thought it better to let another business lease the space.... He didn't know where he was going to move that little Barber Shop! Out of the blue, Dean had called Tom and asked him if he and his wife would like to move back to Ft. Collins. He explained that Max who worked since 4/1/1970 here untill his retirement 6/7/2016, and Art who has worked out of here on and off since the sixties. They wanted to retire, and so does he, (Dean). Dean bought the shop from Max, 11/1/2000. The two of them worked together for 30 yrs! And have been making alot of friends ever since. Tom bought the shop 11/1/2016.
