Originally a 9 hole golf course (current front 9) Slippery Rock Golf Club first opened on Memorial Day in 1928 and was designed by F. T. Stafford from Cleveland Ohio.
The course was sold in 1945, to a local golf course owner / architect, Wynn Tredway. He recognized the growing popularity of golf and that an additional 9 holes was feasible. Over the following years, he designed and finished (present back 9) to complete the course you find today.
