ABOUT ME:
I am a PGA Teaching Professional with a passion for helping golfers experience more joy and fulfillment through golf. I teach golf and golf instruction for the New Mexico State University PGA Golf Management Program. I am also the Director of Instruction for Red Hawk Golf Club in Las Cruces, NM, and the Executive Director for the Las Cruces Junior Golf Association.
MY COMMITMENT TO YOU:
The improvement that you make and the goals that you achieve in golf will reflect the time and effort that you commit to the game. In other words, your improvement is your responsibility. As your coach though, I am committed to answering your questions, helping you set SMART goals, and providing recommendations about your swing, practice routines, and course management decisions. Ultimately, I am committed to being by your side (remotely of course) every step of the way. It is my passion to help you achieve your goals, but it is my duty to make you into a self-reliant golfer.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
I am a straight forward, no BS, kind of a guy. I am committed to your success but I expect for you to be far more committed. After all, it is your game we are talking about. I don’t fluff things to make you feel comfortable. Instead. I address the root of the problem. Don’t be surprised if I challenge you both physically and mentally. Since muscles don’t move on their own, the physical improvement that you make in your golf swing will likely be the result of the mental improvement that you make. Lastly, I will be available to you on an as needed basis (I normally respond quickly), but please respect my time and give me 24-48 hours to respond to your message.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
I have been recognized as Golf Digest’s Best Teacher in New Mexico for 2019-2020, the Sun Country Teacher of the Year in 2016, Sun Country Youth Player Development Award in 2018, and Sun Country Player Development Award in 2019. I am passionate about junior golf and operate one of the largest PGA Jr. League programs in the country (#3 in 2019). I not only teach the game at a high level but play to one as well, having competed in a handful of national championships; two PGA Professional Championships and two NJCAA Championships.
