Formed in the mid seventy’s by a group of local golfers and investors Rivendell opened as a nine-hole course in 1979. In 1992 the second nine opened to rave reviews. The par 71 course at 6248 yards, favours shot placement over power and precision over brute force.
The first nine holes originally designed by legendary local golfer and designer Dick Green was twinned with a Robert Heaslip designed second nine. Through the years improvements to the fairways, new greens, tees and several layout changes have brought us to Rivendell’s present form.
Rivendell’s clubhouse has also gone through many improvements throughout the years. Golfers and diners can enjoy incredible views of the course from our dining room, open patio, and newly finished upper deck.
