In 1937, John McMahon purchased a lot from Sabine's estate with intent to build a golf course. In 1960 Breezy Bend Country Club opened for play. At that time the clubhouse was a modest structure with limited facilities and a casual environment. As the years passed, the golf course quickly became one of Manitoba's best, leaving behind the clubhouse which had begun to show its age. In 1998, a new clubhouse and proshop were built, housing all the amenities members required to make their golf experience, both on and off the course, and enjoyable one.
