Springdale at Cold Mountain is a true North Carolina mountain golf resort boasting a 6,800-yard course certain to challenge every club in your bag… and possibly your mental health too.
Mother Nature was the designer of Springdale and it is our job to keep this layout phenomenal. Don’t be intimidated by the mountain setting though. Thanks to five sets of tees, golfers of all ages and skill levels can experience and enjoy Springdale.
The front nine holes meander through the valley bordering the East Fork of the Pigeon River and mountains such as Sugar Top and Rocky Face. This allows golfers to begin their round with the softest movement on each hole.
The picturesque back nine ascends into the mountains to elevations of 3,200 feet and breathtaking views of our namesake, Cold Mountain. Prepare for a love/hate relationship with lucky Hole Number 13, “The Springdale Spasm.” This 431-yard par-4 demands a strong tee shot and a “thread the needle” approach to an elevated green protected by a bunker to the right and a creek on the left. Golf doesn’t get much better than this. Stunning views of North Carolina’s famed big guys, Cold Mountain and Mt. Pisgah, along with challenging holes keep golfers coming back for more.
