The Island Course opened in 1986 under the name of The West Course. Designed by Ron Kuhlman, it is a consistent favorite among golfers. The par 72 golf course plays 6,912 yards from the tips, creating a scenic and challenging round for even the best golfers. The Island Course is known for its Signature 8th Hole which features the only natural island green in the state of Wisconsin.
Silver Spring Golf Club features two of the Milwaukee area’s favorite golf courses – the Island and the Falls. Both offer membership while welcoming the general public. In addition Silver Spring’s sister golf course, Willow Run, offers special reciprocal benefits.
Silver Spring’s Island course features the only natural island green in the state, and a nearly 7,000 yard test from the tips featuring dramatic elevation changes, tree lined fairways and bent grass greens.
The Falls course offers mortals a respite from the monster length golf courses catering to today’s long hitters, but don’t be lulled into a false sense of security because the Falls is no cakewalk. A full driving range is terrific for warm-up or improvement and new management brought new carts.
