The St. Andrews course, designed and built in 1926 by John McGregor of the Chicago Golf Club, will test your game without testing your patience. This course offers a flat terrain as well as large contoured greens and showcases a par 4 finishing hole with a menacing water hazard running along the fairway on the right side.
Players at all levels will be challenged by the difficult par 3’s and par 4’s throughout the course. Especially the challenging 2nd hole, a long par 4, measuring 448 yards, and surrounded by large greenside bunkers.
Measuring 6,920 yards from the championship tees, this course challenges the golfer to select calculated shots to master the strategically placed sand bunkers and trees that line the tighter dog legs. Architects Joe Lee and Rockey Roqemore of Atlanta have made modifications to St. Andrews over the years to modernize the course to today’s standards, but the integrity of the original design still stands.
