As it has grown from its initial concentration on facials and waxing, the company has added therapeutic massages, deeply relaxing body treatments, nail care, makeup, microdermabrasion and more to its menu of services. Along the way, Skin Sense has grown from Ms. Padgett's solo practice to a staff of around one hundred in its corporate office and two day spa locations in North Raleigh and Brier Creek. Its innovative approach to wellness, highly-trained therapists and state-of-the art facilities such as saunas, steam rooms, and relaxation lounges, have earned Skin Sense over twenty-five awards from its clients through surveys conducted by nearly every local newspaper and magazine, including reader's choice awards such as "Best Day Spa" and "Best Facial".When Angela Padgett, the company's founder and president, opened Skin Sense Face and Body Works, the day spa label had not yet been coined.
